I don't understand why the studios won't just give writers their fair share of content downloaded from the internet, etc. Are they thinking they'll just make up the shows themselves for next season?

The Los Angeles Times reported on Tuesday that the big 5 studios have cancelled many of the contracts of striking writers, "conceding that the current television season cannot be salvaged".
As January is usually the time that writers begin to plot the next season of current shows as well as pitch new pilots, next season is starting to be put at risk. Perhaps the most damning piece of information is the last sentence, slipping in like a shadow to announce: No new talks have been scheduled. Trackbacks
