Back at the alternate secret location (AKA - my house) for this weeks recording. West Wing season 3 comes out strong with some very well written episodes. Though some of our listeners didn't care for the 9/11 episode Isaac & Ishmael. Either way Joey and I had a good conversation about a lot of interesting topics. We discuss episodes 1-4 of The West Wing, Season 3.

We had a lot of stuff to talk about this week that wasn't even related to the West Wing episodes. Many thanks to Listener Si for sending in some great stuff about British Politics. As an example, take a look at some of the great photos of the current Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, below. The TW5 intern also joined us for the second week in a row. We need a new guest so he will stop coming on (only kidding Aaron). We discuss episodes 17-20 of The West Wing, Season 2.

We had a lot of fun this week as we were joined by the TrekWest5 Intern to discuss a wide range of topics - from the "War on Drugs" and the legalization of marijuana, to marital arguments and Presidential Pardons. Joey runs counter to form and argues that we should just pardon everyone to make people "feel better" - perhaps he had been doing too much research on the legalization of marijuana before the podcast? We discuss episodes 13-16 of The West Wing, Season 2.

While we cut the part where Joey gets all girly emotional during our discussion of Noel, it still should be said that it is an incredibly moving piece of television; few parts of television or movie can move someone like that. Few parts of television and movie can move someone like that. Even though I give Joey a hard time for crying, you have to be a robot not to feel the pain that Josh does. Bravo Mr Sorkin. It seems like every President is soft on turkeys. They all seem to pardon one every year. What I want to know is what crimes are these turkeys committing that they are even getting in to our penal system in the first place. Alas it will go on and on. I wonder if any criminals have accidentally been pardoned by dressing up as turkeys? Emboldened by our 2 newest listeners we discuss episodes 5-8 of The West Wing, Season 2.

For a movie that is supposed to be all about Spock, there is shockingly very little of him in it. While I suppose one could argue that the title, The Search for Spock, itself indicates that he is going to be involved in some interstellar game of hide and seek, I still wanted to see more of Spock/Nimoy. The good news is that our lack of Spock is made up for with a phenomenal performance of a Klingon Captain by none other than Doc Brown himself: Christopher Lloyd. Man that guy is versatile. While no one would ever mistake Star Trek 3 as a cinematic giant, it is, for all Trek fans, a great continuation of a wonderful story/dynasty. We really enjoyed it and if you are a true geek/Trek-fan then you will too.

She's finally here! The political girl of my dreams: Ainsley Hayes. And what a triumphal entrance she makes, by wiping the floor with Sam and then being offered a job in the Bartlett White House. Anybody who doesn't love Ainsley Hayes is a communist and a coward. In an effort to get us back on track we only covered episodes 3-4 of The West Wing, Season 2. That means that our string of short podcasts will be ending very soon. On behalf of Trek West 5, we wish all Jews, as well as certain Noahides named Jim, a happy Passover.

Alright, someone has been fiddling with our hardware because this weeks audio is really choppy. Sorry for all of you hardcore TW5 listeners out there who will have to endure this. The good news is that we did have some fun talking about some rather weighty issues. And we had My Friend Jon Madsen join us. So I don't even know why I bothered to mention this because you are all going to be so excited to hear MFJM and us goof around that you won't even notice the annoying clicks.
