Isn't there some park near Trolley Square with a Joseph Smith sphinx? Might be worth checking out.
Monday, June 7. 2010Things to do in Utah
So as some of you may or may not be aware, my In-Laws have recently moved to Salt Lake From Oregon.
My mother in law is starting to be a bit bored just hanging around the house. Unfortunately her mobility is somewhat limited. So I'm opening the question to you guys for some ideas. What are some things that she could go see/view, even if it's just from the car. She can walk, just not up or down stairs, and if she were to leave the car, restrooms would need to be somewhat easily accessible. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Trackbacks

Antelope island. She can drive all over the place and get out for the visitors center and see buffalo/antelope either way.
If she's interested in dogs there's a dog trial this weekend at the Davis County fairgrounds (obedience/rally) Rally is kind of fun to watch it's dogs catching balls, jumping, etc. Liberty Park has the bird center (Tracy Aviary) which is cool. Also she could just get out and throw some bread to ducks on the pond. I know there are concerts and stuff in parks around here for the summer. I just don't know where/what because my kids are too young to do that. Several parks also have movies at night. Including our local Centerville park. Again I don't know details but you could find out easily. Thanksgiving Point has a Scottish festival this weekend I believe. Other than that it's fun to just walk around there and see the flowers, etc. anytime. That's all for now but I'll keep thinking. Sideshow on :
I believe you are referring to the Gilgal Gardens.
